Where those posts appear is irrelevant for the topic at hand; it is their mere existence that is relevant here.
One argument brought against the separate topic concept in this thread was that this makes more sense for a forum, not a Q&A. My point was that we may well have forum-type posts in our Q&A.
I think a forum-type post still consists of an initial post (which has a title and ought to have tags) and responses. That’s why I’m having trouble understanding what the benefit of a higher-level “topic” notion is.
I totally understand it.From a strict/formal DB definition standpoint. I just disagree and think that for our purposes it is extra complexity (though of a relatively small level) with little gain.
