Just a dude with a keyboard
Community-led moderation is something that speaks to me. This site will not be the new market leader in Q&A. There’s no Google presence to attract droves of people. It’s gonna be like that for a few years, and I’m OK with that. What I care about most, is that the people who put in the work have a say, and that there is no overriding authority that wakes up on the wrong side of the bed one day and decides to throw that overboard.
That’s what we get with community moderation. This means that, while I expect to often disagree with the consensus, the process for reaching that consensus is clear and respected by all. I’m happy with that trade-off.
I write code for a living. I’m comfortable with Terraform, Docker, various clouds, the Java ecosystem, React, and though I’d prefer not to admit it, jQuery.
