well for sign up i was asked for my stack exchange account link . well if u r trying to replace stack exchange account then is it necessary t include members of stack exchange only.

The Stack Exchange link is optional. I didn’t provide one.

I’d like to suggest adding ‘(optional)’ so people can be aware of it. Since one of the requested fields had that information but the SE link request didn’t, I automatically assumed it was mandatory.

Done. I added text to the field on the user profile to make it more obvious that it is optional.
